The audience was convinced that Melquiades Cedro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Patxi was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 27thth minute of the game Melquiades Cedro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Belgrano San Nicolas's Jeremias Patxi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Severiano Eguerdi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Saenz Peña's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Belgrano San Nicolas the free kick. A collision led to Club Saenz Peña getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Severiano Eguerdi hit a great ball. Eugenio Luken struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Paulo Beltxe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Belgrano San Nicolas. With an all-out effort, Club Belgrano San Nicolas's Paulo Beltxe threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eugenio Luken, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 39th minute, but Paulo Beltxe got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Club Saenz Peña hanging dry this time. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Saenz Peña's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gualterio Nisio was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Belgrano San Nicolas's players had a chance to rest. In the 42nd minute Jimeno Garoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Belgrano San Nicolas's Jeremias Patxi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Cedro in the 43rd minute of play. Severiano Eguerdi struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Jeremias Patxi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Saenz Peña. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Luken made a kick off. Paulo Beltxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Luken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustacio Tino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Patxi having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Club Belgrano San Nicolas's goalkeeper Jeremias Patxi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimeno Garoa. In the 63rd minute, Humberto Ibar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Belgrano San Nicolas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Club Saenz Peña's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Luken came free, but Paulo Beltxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Isaac Jon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremias Patxi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jeremias Patxi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melquiades Cedro's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Cipriano Romo struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Jeremias Patxi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Saenz Peña. If Melquiades Cedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Eguerdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Ibar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Beltxe having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Saenz Peña walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
