In the 16th minute Eugenio Luken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Isidro Gizon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quiroga AFC and the Club Belgrano San Nicolas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Isidro Gizon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Belgrano San Nicolas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Generoso Paio 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Ibar in the 37th minute of play forced Quiroga AFC's goalkeeper Aquiles Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Quiroga AFC got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Gizon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Steven got free with Jeremias Patxi in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremias Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Generoso Paio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Augusto Magdaleno fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Belgrano San Nicolas's protests and gave Augusto Magdaleno a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Club Belgrano San Nicolas got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Magdaleno. 48 minutes into the game, Nicasio Steven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jeremias Patxi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Patxi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 played minutes Club Belgrano San Nicolas got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Mederi. In the 61st match minute, Club Belgrano San Nicolas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Generoso Paio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicasio Steven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Quiroga AFC's Generoso Paio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Patxi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club Belgrano San Nicolas's zone, Generoso Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Patxi came out of the goal and Generoso Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
