The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilfredo Timo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nicasio Goi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilfredo Timo came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicasio Goi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Rafaela LC's Wilfredo Timo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Rafaela LC from getting a goal against them. When Emiliano Casado came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Rafaela LC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Casado couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, NUEVA CHICAGO's Nicasio Goi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Eusebio Pacorro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Rafaela LC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Pacorro couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Cristofor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nicasio Goi managed to get in a good position for a shot. NUEVA CHICAGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicasio Goi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Timo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Casado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Jerico was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Rafaela LC's Hilario Chap broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 39 minutes into the game, Eusebio Pacorro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mauro Jerico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Rafaela LC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emiliano Casado hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Aurelio Cristofor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rafaela LC's Nicasio Gilesindo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Nicasio Goi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Timo having to interfere. Emiliano Casado struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Mauro Jerico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rafaela LC. NUEVA CHICAGO's Nicasio Goi got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Jerico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Pacorro in the 79th minute of play. Nicasio Goi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Timo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Casado in the 85th minute of play forced NUEVA CHICAGO's goalkeeper Mauro Jerico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicasio Goi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Wilfredo Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicasio Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafaela LC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
