The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eusebio Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Telo having to interfere. Evelio Telo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emiliano Casado's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Emiliano Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ladislao Txartiko charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladislao Txartiko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Palermo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Txartiko. In the 17th minute, Emiliano Casado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rafaela LC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute, Baldomiro Truylos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Efrain Ihintza kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Hilario Chap, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Casado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Urbano Tabby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilfredo Timo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 55th minute, one of Rafaela LC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rafaela LC. In the 63rd minute, Emiliano Casado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Rafaela LC's zone, Iker Danel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Timo came out of the goal and Iker Danel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Emiliano Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rafaela LC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo FC's zone, Prudencio Leocadio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Telo came out of the goal and Prudencio Leocadio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Evelio Telo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebio Pacorro got free with Evelio Telo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victorino Felipillo charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victorino Felipillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palermo FC's Victorino Felipillo got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Emiliano Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Sixto Enmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafaela LC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Enmanuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Telo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Efrain Ihintza was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. Efrain Ihintza kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Emiliano Casado struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Evelio Telo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rafaela LC. Rafaela LC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
