Gowlan fc's Eugenio Tebaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Mitxaut in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Gowlan fc's Eugenio Tebaldo got control of the ball when Julian Berbiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elpidio Lobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Matei having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Cipriano Bento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cipriano Bento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gowlan fc's zone, Lisandro Mitxaut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Tebaldo came out of the goal and Lisandro Mitxaut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lisandro Mitxaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Bento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Gowlan fc's Cipriano Bento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Matei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 minutes, Vladimiro Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gowlan fc and the NEUQUÉN ATL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vladimiro Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Lisandro Mitxaut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Bento made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Gowlan fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Inko to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of NEUQUÉN ATL booed when Gowlan fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match NEUQUÉN ATL got a corner. Gowlan fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Eugenio Tebaldo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julian Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eugenio Tebaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, NEUQUÉN ATL's Lisandro Mitxaut made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Tebaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 69 played minutes Gowlan fc got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Lobo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Martinez during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eugenio Tebaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. NEUQUÉN ATL's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
