Anselmo Inko's late challenge caught a Rafaela LC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Inko helped the player get up and apologised. 19 minutes into the game, one of Gowlan fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Gowlan fc's zone, Eusebio Pacorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Tebaldo came out of the goal and Eusebio Pacorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Lobo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfredo Timo having to make a save. If Eusebio Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cipriano Bento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gowlan fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Bento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Timo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Cipriano Bento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Rafaela LC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Bento came free, but Wilfredo Timo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With an all-out effort, Gowlan fc's Wilfredo Timo threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elpidio Lobo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
