Leonides Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Firme in the 6th minute of the match. Antonio Firme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, UnionTate's goalkeeper Cristo Iigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Seme. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Soin in the 19th minute of play forced Magdalena's goalkeeper Leonides Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evelio Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristo Iigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Joachim's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Valentin Seme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Cristo Iigo managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Magdalena's Valentin Seme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Magdalena's Valentin Seme got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristo Iigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Seme in the 45th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Evelio Joachim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magdalena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Joachim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Firme to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Antonio Firme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UnionTate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Firme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Valentin Seme put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cristo Iigo. Leonides Romelio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulises Hug went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Magdalena's Valentin Seme got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Joachim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cristo Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Federico Bidari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magdalena and the UnionTate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Magdalena got a freekick which was hit by Federico Bidari. The supporters of UnionTate booed when Magdalena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Bidari didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Magdalena's Leonides Romelio got control of the ball when Ulises Hug tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Magdalena's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodoro Bernaldo was slow to take the kick. During this time UnionTate's players had a chance to rest. In the 80th match minute, Magdalena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Bidari to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Magdalena's zone, Ulises Hug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Romelio came out of the goal and Ulises Hug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Firme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Romelio having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Hug got free with Leonides Romelio in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
