Leones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Monte FC's Emanuel Heli got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Wilfredo Soin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Nesor got free with Benjamin Giro in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamin Giro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joaquin Cordarrel. Gerardo Confesor hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Wilfredo Soin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Giro having to make a save. Benjamin Nesor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Benjamin Giro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luciano Steven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Vincente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Soin was the one to do the kick off. Gerardo Confesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Heli charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Heli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Monte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Heli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerardo Confesor in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Steven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monte FC's Gerardo Confesor got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Heli was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes Monte FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Heli. The Leones FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Monte FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
