Nemesio Garci kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Wilfredo Soin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Wilfredo Soin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Domenec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leones FC's Luciano Steven proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Leones FC from getting a goal against them. Melquiades Domenec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Nesor in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Nemesio Garci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Desamparados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones FC the free kick. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Garci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Steven stood somewhat misplaced when Salvador Endira came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. In the 26th minute Benjamin Nesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Domenec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benjamin Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Steven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Endira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Desamparados's Melquiades Domenec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Nesor in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Desamparados's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Nesor came free, but Melquiades Domenec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Desamparados's Salvador Endira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Steven was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Salvador Endira made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leones FC's goalkeeper Luciano Steven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maximino Kimetz's late challenge caught a Desamparados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Kimetz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Maximino Kimetz hit a great ball. The Desamparados fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Desamparados's Salvador Endira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Salvador Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melquiades Domenec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Soin in the 88th minute of play. After 93 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Kimetz. Desamparados's Gavino Janpier got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
