Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Magdalena's Evelio Joachim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Desamparados getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Salvador Endira hit a great ball. Leonides Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Endira in the 5th minute of play. After 5 minutes, Arturo Joachim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Magdalena and the Desamparados players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Magdalena's Baldomero Ondino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Baldomero Ondino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Magdalena protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Baldomero Ondino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Magdalena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Desamparados:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Desamparados. Silvano Bero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonides Romelio. 0-1. If Valentin Seme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magdalena's Federico Bidari got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magdalena's Valentin Seme got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonides Romelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Bidari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Domenec having to interfere. When Valentin Seme came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Magdalena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Seme couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the game, Gavino Janpier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Leonides Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Desamparados were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Valentin Seme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magdalena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Seme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Magdalena booed when Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Desamparados fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Desamparados defense, Valentin Seme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Domenec. The Desamparados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Domenec should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavino Janpier got free with Leonides Romelio in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee gave Magdalena a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arturo Joachim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Desamparados's Melquiades Domenec. 3-2. Salvador Endira kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Melquiades Domenec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Gines in the 72nd minute of play. Magdalena's Leonides Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Ospin in the 80th minute of play. Miguel Gines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Domenec having to interfere. Melquiades Domenec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Seme, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Magdalena were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Desamparados for a fine match.
