Spectators: 7171 (Terracing: 5380, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) 4 minutes into the match, UnionTate's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Ticho came free, but Cristo Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute of the match Cayetano Florian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristo Iigo skillfully saved the ball. After 7 played minutes UnionTate got a freekick which was hit by Hector Soin. The supporters of Leones FC booed when UnionTate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Onbera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Firme might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Steven. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Firme ran back to his position shaking his head. UnionTate's Cristo Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Nesor in the 16th minute of play. Luciano Steven acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Narciso Urdaspal. 30 minutes into the game, Gaspar Behe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UnionTate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, UnionTate's Gaspar Behe got a free kick in the 30th minute. Wilfredo Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Nesor struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Cristo Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Maximino Kimetz got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match UnionTate got a corner. Leones FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teodoro Bernaldo ran over to the corner to take the kick. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leones FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodoro Bernaldo was slow to take the kick. During this time UnionTate's players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Soin was the one to do the kick off. Artemio Jax kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Wilfredo Soin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, UnionTate's Teodoro Bernaldo tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The UnionTate fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when UnionTate's Ulises Hug looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristo Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Soin, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Hector Soin kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Leones FC were awarded a corner. Melquiades Arce went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Melquiades Arce almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but UnionTate's Cristo Iigo did a great save. If Benjamin Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UnionTate were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Leones FC for a fine match.
