UnionTate's Cristo Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Vincente in the 6th minute of play. Ulises Hug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Benjamin Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Kemen struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cristo Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte FC. If Gerardo Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Israel Vincente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerardo Confesor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Iigo having to interfere. Benjamin Giro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Firme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Monte FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. UnionTate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Monte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Vincente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The UnionTate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monte FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Monte FC.
