Vinicio Ederono might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florencio Paio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Ederono ran back to his position shaking his head. Haroldo Prejun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Ermano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Aquilino Saturnin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pirugra's zone, Benjamin Alvarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Paio came out of the goal and Benjamin Alvarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvestre Quintin during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of LA VIA FC booed when Pirugra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Quintin didn't get a good kick on the ball. LA VIA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Vinicio Ederono left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA VIA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Florencio Paio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Ederono in the 63rd minute of play. If Vinicio Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Saturnin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Haroldo Prejun firmly grabbed it by the left post. Silvestre Quintin was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 76 minutes into the game, one of Pirugra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Benjamin Alvarez took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florencio Paio. Florencio Paio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirugra's goalkeeper Florencio Paio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vinicio Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Florencio Paio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Alvarez in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florencio Paio saved Pirugra from getting behind. Florencio Paio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
