With his leg Adan Mendez managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Medrano's Laureano Pepillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Ayapaso booed when Medrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Ixidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Medrano getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Francisco Jakobe hit a great ball. Adan Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Pepillo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Adan Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medrano. Laureano Pepillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Adan Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ayapaso's zone, Francisco Jakobe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Mendez came out of the goal and Francisco Jakobe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Quico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angel Frisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Adan Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Angel Frisco came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Medrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Frisco couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Francisco Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Jakobe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adan Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Jakobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayapaso's Adan Mendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Pepillo in the 66th minute of play. Angel Frisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adan Mendez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Jakobe's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Laureano Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Mendez having to interfere. In the 74th minute Francisco Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Dubardo's late challenge caught a Medrano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Dubardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Anselmo Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Mendez having to interfere. Adan Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Guillen in the 88th minute of the match.
