In the 5th minute of the match Erubiel Chuse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruperto Felipillo skillfully saved the ball. In the 6thth minute of the game Remigio Uhin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mariño AFC's Ruperto Felipillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvio Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Pascual Gilesindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariño AFC's Ruperto Felipillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Mariño AFC from getting a goal against them. Silvio Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Gilesindo having to interfere. Remigio Uhin struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ruperto Felipillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Chanos Chocadores. Florencio Avellaneda hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Los Chanos Chocadores's Marcelo Isias couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mariño AFC. In the 26th minute, Melquiades Abaurre fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 28th play minute Melquiades Abaurre came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ruperto Felipillo. 1-0. Melquiades Abaurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Los Chanos Chocadores's Remigio Uhin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruperto Felipillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remigio Uhin made a kick off. The Mariño AFC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Mariño AFC's Silvio Atarratze looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mariño AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Chanos Chocadores the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mariño AFC's Leopoldo Corderall got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ruperto Felipillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Uhin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mariño AFC defense, Remigio Uhin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Felipillo. The Mariño AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Felipillo should have stopped the shot. After 83 minutes of play, Los Chanos Chocadores's Remigio Uhin made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Felipillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Melquiades Abaurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ruperto Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Uhin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Felipillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remigio Uhin ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Isias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Remigio Uhin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ruperto Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Chanos Chocadores were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mariño AFC for a fine match.
