Rickard Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 17th minute, Erasmo Bidun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the game, Diego Demesio landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Aquilino Jeraldo's late challenge caught a Unión Casildense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Jeraldo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mariño AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Aquilino Jeraldo hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes, Unión Casildense's Flavio Francho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruperto Felipillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unión Casildense reached it. Ruperto Felipillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Gartzea in the 23rd minute of play. Rickard Jakobsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santiago Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. When Isaac Gartzea came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Unión Casildense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Gartzea couldn't finish the play. Ruperto Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Maraman in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Unión Casildense's goalkeeper Rickard Jakobsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Santiago Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaac Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Felipillo having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Cordeiro was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Cordeiro in the 51st minute of play forced Unión Casildense's goalkeeper Rickard Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Gualterio Maraman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Corderall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariño AFC's Santiago Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rickard Jakobsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Avellaneda went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Isaac Gartzea's late challenge caught a Mariño AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florencio Avellaneda scored 2-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rickard Jakobsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Mariño AFC's zone, Isaac Gartzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Felipillo came out of the goal and Isaac Gartzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvio Atarratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Santiago Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariño AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvio Atarratze struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rickard Jakobsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariño AFC. If Santiago Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Isaac Gartzea notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mariño AFC's Ruperto Felipillo. Ruperto Felipillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Unión Casildense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mariño AFC.
