Diegoleadores FC were furious when Aaron Bastian was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 26th minute, Jonathan Pinto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Arnas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Jonathan Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Pinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Camilo Arnas made a huge save. A collision led to US Lecce getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Israel Berasko hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, US Lecce's goalkeeper Camilo Arnas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Pinto. US Lecce's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Jonathan Pinto scored to the left of an out of position Camilo Arnas, making the score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Mauro Raphael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Benvide in the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in US Lecce's zone, Jonathan Pinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Arnas came out of the goal and Jonathan Pinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Arnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Venancio Quirze recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauro Raphael. Venancio Quirze showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Nicolas Guillem hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicolas Guillem kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauro Raphael. That made the score 2-4 in the 66 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Pinto in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Arnas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Jonathan Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Arnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Raphael was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Venancio Quirze showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 92 minute of play. Camilo Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. US Lecce's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
