Pico AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.B.J the free kick. A collision led to Pico AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Godfredo Selmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Macerio in the 35th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Evaristo Liberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pico AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Liberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Birila in the 46th minute of play forced Pico AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Pelagius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Birila made a kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Zacarias Berart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pico AFC's zone, Honorato Cresenciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Pelagius came out of the goal and Honorato Cresenciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.A.B.J's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
