The coaching staff of Cassaffousth protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Quirze had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Cassaffousth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of NewCastle:s goal. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for NewCastle. Cleto Semeno stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Omar Orzaize. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Gaztea in the 13th minute of play forced Cassaffousth's goalkeeper Omar Orzaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Gaztea in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cassaffousth's Damaso Llanos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Maximo Matai came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cassaffousth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Matai couldn't finish the play. If Maximo Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeronimo Llorian to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Ayala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Orzaize made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Gaztea in the 55th minute. Omar Orzaize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Llorian in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Cassaffousth's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Fertus came free, but Omar Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Conrado Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NewCastle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaudencio Unai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Matai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Orzaize made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Gaztea in the 73rd minute. When the final whistle sounded NewCastle left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cassaffousth.
