Spectators: 7289 (Terracing: 5469, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maximo Izotz took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 minutes, Gaspar Naelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Larguía FC and the Ben Hur players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Gaspar Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3 minutes into the match, Joaquin Valery had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Dabi. Larguía FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Valery was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 8 played minutes Ben Hur got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Rufo. After recieving a nice pass, Larguía FC's Elvio Quintana tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Izotz in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantino Balasi saved Ben Hur from getting behind. If Melquiades Nazario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Larguía FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lorenzo Rosalio hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Gervasio Porfirio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Dabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Valery in the 28th minute of play forced Larguía FC's goalkeeper Basilio Dabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Dabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Valery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Valery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Dabi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Joaquin Valery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Larguía FC's Constantino Balasi threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaspar Naelio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquin Valery was the one to do the kick off. Basilio Dabi made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gervasio Porfirio sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Larguía FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Donato Dunixi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Larguía FC's zone, Gervasio Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Dabi came out of the goal and Gervasio Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gervasio Porfirio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Larguía FC defense, Gervasio Porfirio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basilio Dabi. The Larguía FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Dabi should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Larguía FC's Elvio Quintana got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Gervasio Porfirio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ben Hur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Porfirio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gervasio Porfirio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Basilio Dabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Basilio Dabi, was totally fooled by Ben Hur's Pedro Erlantz, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Joaquin Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Valery in the 90th minute of play forced Larguía FC's goalkeeper Basilio Dabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Joaquin Valery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 97 played minutes Ben Hur got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Mel. Ben Hur's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
