Saul Silvino took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mario Cordeal. Mario Cordeal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Smith's Mario Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Michael in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Pozuelos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ladislao Gaxan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Bruno Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Ioritz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pozuelos's zone, Ladislao Gaxan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe Polo came out of the goal and Ladislao Gaxan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Smith's Mario Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Michael in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Ruben Chorache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mario Cordeal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute, Raimundo Noe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Cordeal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mario Cordeal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Michael in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Silvino in the 33rd minute of play forced Smith's goalkeeper Mario Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Smith's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Silvino came free, but Mario Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionisio Orlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bernabe Polo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Polo made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ladislao Gaxan sent off a good shot on target. Smith's Ladislao Gaxan got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Silvino in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Cordeal saved Smith from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Silvino in the 57th minute of play forced Smith's goalkeeper Mario Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ladislao Gaxan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Smith fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Gaxan couldn't finish the play. Bernabe Polo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Gaxan in the 64th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Smith's goalkeeper Mario Cordeal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Michael. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Michael got free with Mario Cordeal in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Raimundo Noe made a precise shot to the right of Mario Cordeal. Smith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The supporters of Smith booed when Pozuelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Ioritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Polo having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bruno Emeterio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernabe Polo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Jonathan Gartxot lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 91 played minutes Smith got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Gartxot. 94 minutes into the match, Smith's goalkeeper Mario Cordeal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Michael. Pozuelos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
