Club Gral Belgrano's Zacarias Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Emesto in the 14th minute of play. In the 84th minute, one of Smith:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Smith. Casimiro Onbera walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Bruno Emeterio came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Smith fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Emeterio couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
