Aquilino Fidele started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Lop got free with Aristides Romildo in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the game, Julio Lop cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Aristides Romildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sporting JPM's Fulgencio Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Fidele in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Eugenio Illart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tocol FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Baltasar Artizar scored to the left of an out of position Aristides Romildo, making the score, 2-0. Alfonso Tiso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, Sporting JPM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Gabino to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match Teodosio Berasko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fulgencio Elizardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfonso Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Elizardo having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Aquilino Fidele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulgencio Elizardo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Sporting JPM's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Tiso came free, but Fulgencio Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Artizar in the 40th minute of play forced Tocol FC's goalkeeper Aristides Romildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Sporting JPM's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Fidele came free, but Fulgencio Elizardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Alfonso Tiso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Sporting JPM defense, Romeo Martxot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Elizardo. The Sporting JPM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Elizardo should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltasar Artizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aristides Romildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Julio Lop came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Sporting JPM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Lop couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Tocol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Artizar came free, but Aristides Romildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tocol FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Maximiliano Tonete hit a great ball. Aristides Romildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Lop, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Urbano Emmanuel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Julio Lop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting JPM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Lop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Lop struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Aristides Romildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting JPM. If Baltasar Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Romildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Lop in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Tiso got free with Fulgencio Elizardo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Aquilino Fidele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Tiso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Fulgencio Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sporting JPM's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
