The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Eustacio Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Ernesto Darien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ricart having to interfere. Aquilino Ricart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Darien, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Aquilino Ricart made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Esteban Arias sent off a good shot on target. Atenas -cba-'s Aquilino Ricart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Atenas -cba- from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Romero FC's Ernesto Darien got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eustacio Innocenzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ricart having to interfere. Atenas -cba-'s Aquilino Ricart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Darien in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Atenas -cba-'s Baltasar Shantala dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 72nd minute, Astor Amato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltasar Shantala in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ildefonso Abechuco saved Romero FC from getting behind. Eustacio Innocenzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ernesto Darien came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Romero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Darien couldn't finish the play. If Eustacio Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustacio Innocenzio struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Aquilino Ricart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romero FC. Ernesto Darien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ricart having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ernesto Darien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Darien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Ricart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Atenas -cba-'s Romeo Porfiro got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the Romero FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
