Nemesio Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aquilino Ricart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Atenas -cba- defense, Nemesio Dino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquilino Ricart. The Atenas -cba- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquilino Ricart should have stopped the shot. After having played for 24 minutes, Baltasar Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atenas -cba-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltasar Shantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Vendabal Marplatense booed when Atenas -cba- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Urtungo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atenas -cba-'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A very good chance. 0-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Silvano Cresenciano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tiburcio Mancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Aquilino Ricart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvano Cresenciano in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Ricart prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Vendabal Marplatense were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baltasar Shantala was the one to do the kick off. Julio Darien charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Darien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Vendabal Marplatense got a freekick which was hit by Julio Darien. Nemesio Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Aquilino Ricart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Ricart stood somewhat misplaced when Nemesio Dino came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 64 minute. When Jeremias Urtungo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atenas -cba-'s protests and gave Jeremias Urtungo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atenas -cba- getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jeremias Urtungo hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Nemesio Dino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jeremias Urtungo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Silvano Cresenciano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aquilino Ricart. Silvano Cresenciano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. If Nemesio Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Silvano Cresenciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vendabal Marplatense's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Cresenciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Ricart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Atenas -cba-'s zone, Silvano Cresenciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Ricart came out of the goal and Silvano Cresenciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nemesio Dino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Aquilino Ricart when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 91 minutes, Nemesio Dino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vendabal Marplatense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Dino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nemesio Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Ricart having to interfere. Vendabal Marplatense's Nemesio Dino got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
