With a little luck, DiberTeam's Celestino Bernard got control of the ball when Paolo Azeari tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celestino Bernard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Berto in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to DiberTeam getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Elpidio Pero hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Iker Franco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justo Mikelats showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Justo Mikelats stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Pero's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Ovidio Nofre struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Justo Mikelats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DiberTeam. Justo Mikelats stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Nofre's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elpidio Pero was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Estudiantes De La Plata B getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Desiderio Berto hit a great ball. Elpidio Pero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justo Mikelats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Baldomiro Berto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timoteo Chinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Celestino Bernard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elpidio Pero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Chinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Estudiantes De La Plata B booed when DiberTeam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Loren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Estudiantes De La Plata B's Tobias Omero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The referee showed Blas Socorro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes DiberTeam got a freekick which was hit by Blas Socorro. Timoteo Chinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Estudiantes De La Plata B's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Pero came free, but Justo Mikelats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Nofre in the 95th minute of play forced Estudiantes De La Plata B's goalkeeper Justo Mikelats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DiberTeam's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
