Segundo Leoiar took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Galtero. Oscar Galtero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Barracas Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Leoiar to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Barracas Central's goalkeeper Casimiro Gerazan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Belmiro. Casimiro Gerazan made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Eugenio Belmiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Victorino Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Dantel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Galtero having to interfere. If Eugenio Belmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Segundo Leoiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the game, Talleres fc's Eugenio Belmiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casimiro Gerazan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Eugenio Belmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Belmiro in the 54th minute of play forced Barracas Central's goalkeeper Casimiro Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barracas Central's zone, Eugenio Belmiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Gerazan came out of the goal and Eugenio Belmiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimiro Gerazan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Guerrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Eugenio Belmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Casimiro Gerazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Talleres fc's Hugo Cordaro got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorino Dantel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Gerazan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugenio Belmiro went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute Rafael Guerrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Gerazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres fc's zone, Victorino Dantel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Galtero came out of the goal and Victorino Dantel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Guerrero hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Segundo Leoiar came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Barracas Central fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Leoiar couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Barracas Central's Victorino Dantel got a free kick in the 88th minute. Eugenio Belmiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Barracas Central defense, Eugenio Belmiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casimiro Gerazan. The Barracas Central fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casimiro Gerazan should have stopped the shot.
