Casimiro Gerazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Valerio in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Tibalt in the 7th minute of play forced Barracas Central's goalkeeper Casimiro Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casimiro Gerazan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victoriano Tibalt's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Tibalt in the 10th minute of play forced Barracas Central's goalkeeper Casimiro Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Matadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Corderro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Matadores's zone, Reynaldo Firmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Pagomari came out of the goal and Reynaldo Firmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Matadores's Braulio Orti got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Matadores booed when Barracas Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Shepherd didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Severo Valerio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matadores fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Casimiro Gerazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Tibalt in the 24th minute of play. Severo Valerio took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Gerazan. Casimiro Gerazan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Victorino Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Matadores got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Orti. Casimiro Gerazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Tibalt in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Valerio in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casimiro Gerazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Victoriano Tibalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severo Valerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Segundo Leoiar fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barracas Central's protests and gave Segundo Leoiar a yellow card for diving instead. 47 minutes into the match, Barracas Central's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Tibalt came free, but Casimiro Gerazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severo Valerio to strike the kick off in the second half. Casimiro Gerazan made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Victoriano Tibalt sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Barracas Central's Victorino Dantel got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Victoriano Tibalt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Casimiro Gerazan made a huge save. Severo Valerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Casimiro Gerazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorino Dantel hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barracas Central's zone, Victoriano Tibalt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Gerazan came out of the goal and Victoriano Tibalt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Valerio in the 69th minute of play forced Barracas Central's goalkeeper Casimiro Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Victoriano Tibalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Severo Valerio came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Matadores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Valerio couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoriano Tibalt got free with Casimiro Gerazan in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Valerio in the 88th minute of play forced Barracas Central's goalkeeper Casimiro Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Matadores supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matadores would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
