In the 27th minute of the match, Alberto Frances got a very nice opportunity to score, but Melquiades Telesforo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Geronimo Inguma's late challenge caught a Real Crespense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geronimo Inguma helped the player get up and apologised. Real Crespense's Eliseo Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Bilbo in the 33rd minute of play. Edgard Cordarrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eliseo Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Real Crespense booed when Fc varela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Inguma didn't get a good kick on the ball. An annoying self made goal, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Frances to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Alberto Frances got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Cordarrel during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fc varela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Edgard Cordarrel hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Godfredo Lalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Urdaspal made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Vladimiro Bilbo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Fc varela's zone, Godfredo Lalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Telesforo came out of the goal and Godfredo Lalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Real Crespense players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
