The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Papa Roach's Fulgencio Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Llanos in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, one of los diablos rojos fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bernardo Serapio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Guerrero in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gervasio Herensuge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Serapio. los diablos rojos fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervasio Herensuge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 21st play minute Rene Mercurio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fulgencio Arias. 1-1. Marcelino Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Serapio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Herensuge in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gervasio Herensuge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Serapio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Guerrero in the 62nd minute. Gervasio Herensuge was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 66 minutes, Gervasio Herensuge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papa Roach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Herensuge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulgencio Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Mercurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Albino Ongile charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albino Ongile the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albino Ongile kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bernardo Serapio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Herensuge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
