The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Vedillo during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Rene Mercurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Serapio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmelo Sein took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Serapio. Bernardo Serapio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The los diablos rojos fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Junín were winning 0-2.

Bernardo Serapio was a little too slow when Carmelo Sein got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Nicanor Osasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bernardo Serapio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmelo Sein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in los diablos rojos fc's zone, Nicanor Osasun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Serapio came out of the goal and Nicanor Osasun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicanor Osasun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bernardo Serapio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Vedillo was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th minute, Esteban Vedillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Junín were awarded a corner. Rogelio Cruz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Saverio Jaen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but los diablos rojos fc's Bernardo Serapio did a great save. Carmelo Sein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Nicanor Osasun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Sein in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Serapio prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
