In the 17th minute Justino Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Manuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dolores AFC's Leandro Chucho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Blas Manuelo but with some difficulty. Blas Manuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Patricio Pueblo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Austin having to interfere. After 27 minutes of play, España FC's Cirilo Ilixo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Raymond charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
