The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cornelio Oso's late challenge caught a Blaquier AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornelio Oso helped the player get up and apologised. Cornelio Oso kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Alberto Iztal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 9th minute of the match Cornelio Oso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cornelio Oso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 9 played minutes SAN MARTIN AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Oso. SAN MARTIN AFC's Damaso Txeru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Iztal in the 13th minute of play. Gilberto Costante struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Damaso Txeru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blaquier AFC. Blaquier AFC's Alberto Iztal got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Godofredo Orlandus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Iztal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damaso Txeru having to make a save. Gilberto Costante struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Damaso Txeru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blaquier AFC. Nunez Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nunez Abalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Nunez Abalos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddy Maurino's shot from long distance in the 32nd minute was not bad at all, but SAN MARTIN AFC's Damaso Txeru knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Godofredo Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Gipuzkoa having to interfere. Maximiliano Arnau struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Adrian Gipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN MARTIN AFC. Gilberto Costante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Txeru having to interfere. Alberto Iztal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Blaquier AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Gilberto Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Costante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Iztal was the one to do the kick off. Blaquier AFC's Gilberto Costante got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilberto Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Damaso Txeru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Blaquier AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Costante to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Txeru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Iztal in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Iztal in the 60th minute of play forced SAN MARTIN AFC's goalkeeper Damaso Txeru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind SAN MARTIN AFC's goalkeeper Damaso Txeru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto Iztal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Txeru having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Costante in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damaso Txeru saved SAN MARTIN AFC from getting behind. Damaso Txeru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Costante's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Damaso Txeru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Costante in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Gilberto Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blaquier AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Costante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Blaquier AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
