Placido Odon ran back to his position shaking his head. After 22 played minutes Villa Gesell FC got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Lon. Eleuterio Gomez struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Sergio Rojelio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castelar F.C. Jaime Arnau hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Placido Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Gesell FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Odon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Castelar F.C's zone, Placido Odon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Manuelo came out of the goal and Placido Odon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Modesto Suero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

52 minutes into the match, Castelar F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Suero came free, but Abel Manuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Castelar F.C's Evelio Sansone got a free kick in the 60th minute. The Villa Gesell FC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Villa Gesell FC's Placido Odon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Placido Odon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Manuelo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Arsenio Lon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Abel Manuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Castelar F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Montxo to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Valery took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abel Manuelo. Castelar F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Gomez in the 96th minute of play forced Villa Gesell FC's goalkeeper Sergio Rojelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Gesell FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
