After 15 played minutes Villa Gesell FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Lauaxeta. In the 16th minute of the match Esteve Jaunzuria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Rojelio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Odon came free, but Damaso Txeru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maximiliano Arnau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Txeru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Placido Odon made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SAN MARTIN AFC's zone, Placido Odon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Txeru came out of the goal and Placido Odon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placido Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Damaso Txeru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Orlandus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Odon got free with Damaso Txeru in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Placido Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Damaso Txeru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Timoteo Valery came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Villa Gesell FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Valery couldn't finish the play. The SAN MARTIN AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Villa Gesell FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
