In the 25th minute Jonatan Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Oton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Romaboyero's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Calisto came free, but Fernando Oton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Ostadar was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 39th minute Cristobal Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Oton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristobal Camerino came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cholila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Camerino couldn't finish the play. Cristobal Camerino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fernando Oton was a little too slow when Cristobal Camerino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-1. Cristobal Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Oton having to interfere. Julian Hori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Rufo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Romaboyero booed when Cholila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Ado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Cholila could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Romaboyero throughout the match.
