When Haroldo Peruanton came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Piquete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Peruanton couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Piquete getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eugenio Timo hit a great ball. Gonzalo Vergaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Xabel having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Epifanio Bernebe was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Vergaray in the 51st minute of play forced Rodeo's goalkeeper Lisandro Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Baldomiro Ikatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Baldomiro Ikatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodeo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomiro Ikatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Haroldo Peruanton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Piquete's Elias Abadie got a free kick in the 61st minute. A hard shot by Teodoro Domiku from long distance, 62 minutes into the match, got Abel Gaufred's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 65 minutes of play, Piquete's Epifanio Bernebe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lisandro Xabel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 70 minutes, Carmelo Intxixu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rodeo and the Piquete players grew even worse after the yellow card. Haroldo Peruanton kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Basilio Luke kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Abel Gaufred took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Ikatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
