The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Rodeo booed when Reta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Vitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomiro Ikatz in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Ugaitz saved Reta from getting behind. Baldomiro Ikatzs short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Alejo Ugaitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alejo Ugaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Ikatz in the 16th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Reta's Julio Maurin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lisandro Xabel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ubaldo Ugaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
