Piquete's Gonzalo Vergaray got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Rafel succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Abel Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Rafel in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Rafel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Epifanio Bernebe came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Piquete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Bernebe couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd play minute Gonzalo Vergaray came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Horacio Bonadona. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
