When Reynaldo Evis came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ares fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Evis couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Ovando in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Mitxel saved Ares fc from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Celso Kelemen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benicio Cordarin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Celso Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Evis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benicio Cordarin came out and tried to block the shot, but Reynaldo Evis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Tiburcio Odon's late challenge caught a Butacó's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiburcio Odon helped the player get up and apologised. Tiburcio Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Agustin Oinaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Mitxel was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Kelemen got free with Benicio Cordarin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Ares fc's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Oinaz came free, but Vinicio Mitxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Mitxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Aznaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ares fc's Vinicio Mitxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Oinaz in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Kelemen got free with Benicio Cordarin in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Reynaldo Evis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Benicio Cordarin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andres Oihenarte charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Oihenarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Andres Oihenarte was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. With an all-out effort, Butacó's Vinicio Mitxel threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Agustin Oinaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Agustin Oinaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Mitxel having to interfere. Benicio Cordarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Kelemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Butacó's Lino Gilabert got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Celso Kelemen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ares fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Kelemen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Cordarin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ares fc's Vinicio Mitxel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ares fc from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Ares fc's Vinicio Mitxel got control of the ball when Freddy Ovando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celso Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Cordarin having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Butacó's goalkeeper Benicio Cordarin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Butacó's Freddy Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Agustin Oinaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Mitxel was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ares fc had won after a very even match.
