Mario Gonza kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Francisco Sabino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Mitxel skillfully saved the ball. Juan Mitxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Bero in the 7th minute. Adrian Eleder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Mitxel having to interfere. Aldo Barea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Iturri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Obeko charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matias Obeko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Escape libre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Obeko to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Iturri succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 27th minute, Escape libre's Matias Obeko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juan Mitxel. Juan Mitxel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 33rd minute, Gustavo Iturri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Barea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 37 minutes into the match, Escape libre's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Iturri came free, but Aldo Barea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Escape libre's Francisco Sabino got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Nereo Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half C.A. Trueno Verde were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nereo Gerazan made the kick off in the second half. Adrian Eleder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Juan Mitxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 58 minutes on the clock, Justo Galoer commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.A. Trueno Verde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! 65 minutes into the match, C.A. Trueno Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Eleder came free, but Juan Mitxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Barea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Iturri in the 66th minute of play. After 68 minutes, Victorio Mundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Trueno Verde and the Escape libre players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, C.A. Trueno Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Mundo to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Godfredo Bero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godfredo Bero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Mitxel having to interfere. Aldo Barea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Bero scored 2-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Mitxel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Godfredo Bero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Eleder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Sabino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Mitxel. C.A. Trueno Verde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The C.A. Trueno Verde supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A. Trueno Verde would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
