When Denis Thomas fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Butacó's protests and gave Denis Thomas a yellow card for diving instead. 17 minutes into the match, Butacó's goalkeeper Benicio Cordarin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Tirso. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Butacó's goalkeeper Benicio Cordarin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lino Gilabert charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Gilabert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Eleven FF booed when Butacó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Gilabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Tirso got free with Benicio Cordarin in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Vladimiro Aznaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristobal Salvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Cordarin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Mateo Gabrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Ovando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes Cristobal Salvino rounded Butacó's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Eleven FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Tirso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Oinaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristobal Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 56 minutes, Agustin Oinaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Butacó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Oinaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Freddy Ovando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Butacó's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Ovando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Gabrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Eleven FF getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Edgardo Urko hit a great ball. Eleven FF's Mateo Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Oinaz in the 69th minute of play. Cristobal Salvino took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Cordarin. Benicio Cordarin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Armando Tirso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Cordarin having to interfere. Eleven FF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Freddy Ovando scored to the left of an out of position Mateo Gabrio, making the score, 2-3. After 86 played minutes Eleven FF got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Guillerme. Butacó's Agustin Oinaz got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benicio Cordarin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Salvino went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
