Remigio Mendebals short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Camilo Loiola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 13 minutes, Remigio Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grasshopper FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Mendebal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Christian Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuyoj's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Asur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaroslaw Kaider breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Christian Asur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Serafino Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cuyoj's Camilo Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Pereyra in the 23rd minute of play. Remigio Mendebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cuyoj's Bernardino Gonsalve got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Serafino Rivas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grasshopper FC's Jaroslaw Kaider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Rivas in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grasshopper FC's Gonzalo Pierres got a free kick in the 35th minute. The audience was convinced that Serafino Rivas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaroslaw Kaider was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Serafino Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cuyoj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafino Rivas couldn't finish the play. Cuyoj's Camilo Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Arias in the 42nd minute of play. Jaroslaw Kaider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Fanuco, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Camilo Pereyra made the kick off in the second half. Camilo Pereyra struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Camilo Loiola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grasshopper FC. Remigio Mendebal took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Loiola. Camilo Loiola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 60th minute, Federico Precioso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes, Andres Fanuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuyoj and the Grasshopper FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cuyoj getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Andres Fanuco hit a great ball. Camilo Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Camilo Loiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Remigio Mendebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardino Gonsalve during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bernardino Gonsalve hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes, Grasshopper FC's Federico Precioso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Loiola came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grasshopper FC reached it. 75 minutes into the match, Cuyoj's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Pereyra came free, but Camilo Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes of play Cuyoj's Andres Fanuco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 76 played minutes Cuyoj got a freekick which was hit by Andres Fanuco. In the 82nd minute Remigio Mendebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Loiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Loiola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Mendebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Grasshopper FC were the better team. Grasshopper FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
