After a rather tough play, Cipolleti AFC's Jimeno Eguzki got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Cipolleti AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Pereyra came free, but Erasmo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Camilo Pereyra came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Grasshopper FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Pereyra couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Camilo Pereyra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Erasmo Estefan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 26 played minutes Grasshopper FC got a freekick which was hit by David Arias. In the 30th minute Gustavo Rufo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Mendebal in the 31st minute of play forced Cipolleti AFC's goalkeeper Erasmo Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Pereyra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Estefan having to interfere. In the 45th minute, one of Cipolleti AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cipolleti AFC. The referee gave Grasshopper FC a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Precioso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cipolleti AFC's Erasmo Estefan. 0-4. The Cipolleti AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grasshopper FC were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Pereyra made a kick off. Remigio Mendebal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Erasmo Estefan made a huge save. Erasmo Estefan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Mendebal in the 60th minute of play. Gustavo Rufo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cipolleti AFC booed when Grasshopper FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Haimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Pereyra in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Remigio Mendebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grasshopper FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Camilo Pereyra struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Erasmo Estefan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grasshopper FC. Constantino Quexal's late challenge caught a Grasshopper FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Quexal helped the player get up and apologised. Remigio Mendebal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match was over Grasshopper FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cipolleti AFC throughout the match.
