Bartolo Herena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Batuecas struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Matias Hug didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Don Pedro II. 47 minutes into the match, Don Pedro II's Bartolo Herena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Hug narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Loreto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ferreras de Abajo's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Herena came free, but Matias Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ferreras de Abajo's Zeledon Benitez got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Bartolo Herena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Hug was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Ferreras de Abajo's Matias Hug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Herena in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bartolo Herena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Hug was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Don Pedro II's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Martxelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Bartolo Herena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Benitez's late challenge caught a Don Pedro II's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeledon Benitez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, one of Ferreras de Abajo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ferreras de Abajo. Ferreras de Abajo:s Matias Hug showed great skill when he stopped Feliberto Martxelin:s penalty. 97 minutes into the match, Feliberto Martxelin notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ferreras de Abajo's Matias Hug. Matias Hug was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Don Pedro II played a much better game than Ferreras de Abajo and deserved their victory. The Ferreras de Abajo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
