The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Marino during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ferreras de Abajo booed when chaco albinegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Marino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Ferreras de Abajo's Alfonso Hibai threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustavo Loreto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 14th minute, Ferreras de Abajo's Gustavo Loreto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfonso Hibai. Alfonso Hibai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Alfonso Hibai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severo Calvino in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Gustavo Loreto took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Alfonso Hibai to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Ferreras de Abajo's Alfonso Hibai threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustavo Loreto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Marino was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 39th minute, Julio Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfonso Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melchor Ted stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferreras de Abajo's Severo Calvino got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Urko hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Gustavo Loreto came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Ferreras de Abajo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Loreto couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Hibai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Calvino in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, chaco albinegro's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Loreto came free, but Alfonso Hibai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in chaco albinegro's zone, Gustavo Loreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Hibai came out of the goal and Gustavo Loreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Severo Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Hibai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Ted fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Hug having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, chaco albinegro's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Calvino came free, but Alfonso Hibai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 played minutes Ferreras de Abajo got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Oinaz. A collision led to chaco albinegro getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ernesto Gutierrez hit a great ball. Gustavo Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alfonso Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ferreras de Abajo fans cheered their team off the field, for while chaco albinegro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
