The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Humberto Ulizes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Llanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Ulizes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Lino Llanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Humberto Ulizes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Llanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Gilabert in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Llanos saved Talleres from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Filomeno Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Txatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Cordeal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Llanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Ulizes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Humberto Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talleres's Lino Llanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Ulizes in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Quirce got free with Ivan Cordeal in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Talleres's Lino Llanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Gilabert in the 34th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Humberto Ulizes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lino Llanos. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Raul Ederono kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. If Humberto Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Elazar charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albino Elazar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Talleres getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Albino Elazar hit a great ball. With a little luck, Talleres's Lino Llanos got control of the ball when Humberto Ulizes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Humberto Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quiñihuao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Ulizes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oscar Manni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lino Llanos made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Humberto Ulizes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quiñihuao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 72 minutes into the match, Quiñihuao's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Txatxu came free, but Ivan Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Humberto Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiñihuao's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Ulizes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Ulizes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Lino Llanos made a huge save. In the 89thth minute of the game Eustaquio Quirce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quiñihuao's Ivan Cordeal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Filomeno Txatxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Cordeal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Quiñihuao played a much better game than Talleres and deserved their victory. The Talleres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
