Spectators: 6653 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Nisio kicked off to start the match. Rosendo Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Lucas Lore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Lore came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Metaleros AFC's Joel Nisio. But to his dismay, Joel Nisio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Blas Gentza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Gentza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Lore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Nisio in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateo Lamberto during the 24th minute. Metaleros AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. After 30 played minutes Metaleros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Betadur. 32 minutes into the match, River Plate's Fernando Mantzio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Telo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 34 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Luix. The audience was convinced that Rosendo Nesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Lore was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Joel Nisio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. River Plate's Lucas Lore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Nesto in the 40th minute of play. If Joel Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Metaleros AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blas Gentza made a kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Lucas Lore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rosendo Nesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Lore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Nisio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Joel Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Lore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Blas Gentza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, River Plate's Lucas Lore got control of the ball when Joel Nisio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosendo Nesto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Lore having to make a save. In the 86th play minute Rosendo Nesto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lucas Lore. 0-3. Blas Gentza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Metaleros AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Metaleros AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
