In the 20th minute, Oscar Rayman made a precise shot to the right of Constantino Vitin. Tacura FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. GerpyFC's Melquiades Janpier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save GerpyFC from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, GerpyFC's goalkeeper Melquiades Janpier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardino Maura. Melquiades Janpier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Rey in the 28th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgilio Lope stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 70 minutes, Edgard Argenis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Argenis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melquiades Janpier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Argenis went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, Alvaro Bastiaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute of the match Roberto Tirso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Janpier skillfully saved the ball. Melquiades Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The GerpyFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GerpyFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
