The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Alejo Colas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Angelo Mark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejo Colas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Jaume read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Domingos Rafe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. American Ipa FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Riverplay FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Froilan Lazcano took the corner. The American Ipa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Domingos Rafe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Pacorro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingos Rafe to make the kick off. If Virgilio Ipar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Rafe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Clemente Garin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jose Pietro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riverplay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Pietro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Garin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Garin was a little too slow when Domingos Rafe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-1. Clemente Garin made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Jose Pietro sent off a good shot on target. Alfonso Jaume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Mark, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Domingos Rafe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riverplay FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejo Colas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Nicasio Erroman kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jose Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute Domingos Rafe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Riverplay FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for American Ipa FC.
